There is a wealth of information that we are being given in each session. I am taking copious notes and reading everything I can. My main hope is that I can keep everything straight in my mind. Here’s something that might sound familiar to many of you: Ideas can have the shape of the truth but as long as they are only ideas, they are not the truth. It is only when we apply these ideas that they become the truth. One might say that we are being encouraged to liken what we are learning to ourselves so we can apply these things to ourselves.
Eric, one of our instructors, said Every body can do every pose.
Poses are not destinations, they are roads to be travelled.
In other words, if you can do nothing more than bend slightly at the hips in Forward Bend, then you are doing Forward Bend because you are on the road. That is a concept I cannot wait to introduce in class!
